Freddie loved the small city of Montreux on the Swiss Riviera – and so will you. Not only did he have an apartment here , overlooking beautiful Lake Geneva, but the band even owned their own Montreux recording studios, Mountain Studios.

And what’s not to like? Montreux is a breathtaking  place. It’s got a stunning shoreline, it’s got the snow-covered Alps, it’s got a mild climate, and it’s got great bars and restaurants. No wonder so many famous people, including Freddie, have lived here over the years.

What’s more, every year during the first weekend in September, the city is taken over by hordes of Queen fans who come to honour Freddie’s birthday.
