NEW BAND FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT!

The new banner is for a band called Boldly Goin' Nowhere - or BGN. I came upon them when I was down at Roger's studio picking up something - Josh Macrae, he of The Cross and many Queen/Roger productions since, was working with these guys. I loved what I heard, and I think you will too! Josh has the following note for you:

"I first met BGN in 2005 when one of our maintenance guys at The Priory Studio told me about some youngsters his son was helping with their band. So I went to see them rehearsing at a village hall. . Very young & very noisy . . But with a certain appeal .
Roger let me bring them into the studio to record 4 songs . . Which went well. . . I didn't see them again for a few months until they approached me to do some more recordings. . They had had a line up change & had written some more material. . So , in they came once I'd cleared it with Roger & we did session 2. . Shortly after that session they had another line up change to the current & definitive line up. . I started to attend rehearsals regularly, helping with arrangements etc. . .
In December of 2008 we recorded 11 backing tracks at The Priory . . All live performances. . During January of 2009 we put the lead & backing vocals down on 4 of those songs which are now the EP, and we are currently laying vocals on the remainder of the songs which, with the 4 EP titles, will become their first album "Give Us A Smile" . . .

We have concentrated on trying to produce a bunch of recordings that "sound" like the band, , IE what you hear on the CD is pretty much what you get when you see them live. .
