STRANGE WAYS TO SAY GOODBYE AT FUNERALS
When most people attend funerals, the only music they hear are organs or maybe a rendition of “Taps.” However, there are people out there that prefer a different kind of music…rock. And Australia’s Daily Telegraph has compiled a list of the country’s most unusual funeral songs. Queen’s “The Show Must Go On,” Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” and AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” all topped the list. With the help of the largest provider of cemetery, crematorium and memorial services, the paper learned that mourners at some ceremonies were also treated to “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” The strangest choices, however, include “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” from The Wizard of Oz, Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” and Willie Nelson’s rendition of “Hit the Road Jack.”
Thanks for picking up on that one Phil!!
