CONVENTION WEEKEND AND OTHER STUFF...

The 21st Convention was, as always, a fabulous event. we had three fantastic bands on - The Queens on Friday, God Save The Queen on Saturday and MayQueen on Sunday - and all three of them were brilliant from start to finish.

I'm not going to give a minuje by minute review - I am sure there will be a load of them across the internet! I just wanted to say thank you to ALL of you that were there, for your love, friendship and support - not only over the weekend, which was of course tinged with sadness, but all the time. You are all very special people!

The sadness of the weekend came when we had to announce that sadly, Val has to leave us. The fan club simply cannot afford to keep her on. There was a collection over the weekend for her, and many of your were most generous, so thank you for that. But just the strength of your support, your offers of assistance, your hugs and your friendhsip, showed us just how much you all care.

The fan club is NOT closing, I refuse to let that happen, and we hope that we can continue to have conventions and parties and gatherings... so stick with us guys, we need you now more than ever!

The FREDDIE PARTY will take place on September 9th this year, at The Shed, in Brierley Hill, near Birmingham. we will have TWO live bands - Queen Rocks and Flash Harry. Plus food, drinks, videos, and as much Freddie music as we can cram in! Tickets are £15 for members £20 for non members from the fan club - 16A Barnes High Street, London SW13 9LW. Please include an SAE. Tell all your friends and let's make it a 60th to remember!
