FAN CLUB AND CONVENTION UPDATES.

a few important updates about the fan club and the convention...

Firstly the magazine - yes, I KNOW it's spring, and no, I haven't published the spring issue yet. Things have been in turmoil here at the fan club. Sadly we now find we have to leave our adorable headquarters completely in the next few weeks. We have spent the last couple of months clearing stuff, taking everything down, packing boxes, getting rid of anything we don't need and now panicking about where we will put it all in the future. We're NOT closing the fan club down, just the office. I will continue to run it all from a home office, which sadly means there will be nowhere for you to visit, and we have to have a dreaded P.O.Box number. We will still have a phone though, so you can still call for a chat or to renew or join up. We will still issue the magazines, but it will only be THREE per year, not four. The spring one WILL come out within the next couple of weeks, once we have 'settled' everything and the convention is over. The email and websites will remain the same. It has all been rather sad and stressful here lately.... but at least we have the convnetion to look forward to this weekend!

And what a convention it will be, as always! Sadly we no longer have The Wire Daisies playing for us, apparently their record company thought it was an inopportune time for them to do the gig so they have had to pull out. But we still have THREE fabulous bands - Uk tribute band The Queens, new to our event. The fabulous Argentineans God Save The Queen, and one of my favourites, German band MayQueen!

We also have karoake, mime, Matermind, Team Four Challenge quiz, crazy golf, football, snooker, darts, It's A Knockout, tug of war and more Queen than you will ever hear in one weekend! The weather is looking good, the bars will be open from early til late, and we intend to party til we drop!

Don't forget your Christmas fancy dress, and a small wrapped gift for the christmas tree. The presents will be donated to disadvantaged children in the local area, so be generous!
