A large painting of Freddie is coming up for auction this weekend. This piece of artwork is by the artist called "Temper" . I was given the following information about him:
"Temper (whose real name is Arron Bird) has been working as a graffiti artist since the early 1990's. With just the use of an aerosol can as his medium he has produced some fantastic artwork, with his best known collection, "The Good Die Young".
He is now one of the UK's leading graffiti artists and has undertaken commissions for the likes of "Coca-Cola" when he was chosen to produce the design to go on 100 million Sprite cans, Saatchi and Saatchi, global advertising agents in London, where he designed a whole office environment including soft furnishings, wall surfaces and decorations, ex-footballer Ian Wright and Chelsea FC's billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich. "
It's is being offered at between £20,000 and £30,000 (yes, you read that right, 20 or 30 thousand!)
To view the auction lots go to: http://www.fieldingsauctioneers.co.uk/default.asp?menuItemOn=1 and it is lot number 858.
