I am studying Fine Art at Goldsmiths University in London and for an
exhibition I’m looking to borrow fan items/ merchandise or self made fan
objects, that have a personal / nostalgic value for the person, the fan.
This could be: photo albums, CDs, concert tickets, books, t-shirts,
posters, Fan letters, archived magazine/ newspaper cuttings, scrapbooks
etc. - anything connected to queen really.
I wish to establish a kind of storage solution or depot for fandom; this
would be exhibited in the University and I would then return all the
borrowed items at the end of March. Maybe a great opportunity to show off
your collections?
I’m also looking for people who would like to talk about being a fan, what
it means to them, how it shapes their lives...
If you would be so kind to help me by asking members of the queen fan club
if they’d be interested in either of those things, I’d be delighted to
give you more information on the project!
